Our well-child examinations, commonly called "check-ups," are strongly recommended for overall health maintenance as part of preventative pediatric care. We encourage parents to use these visits to raise any questions or concerns they may have regarding their child's health, development, behavior and well-being.

To assure that our patients who come for well-child appointments are not exposed to illness, we have a well-child waiting room that is separate from the sick-child area.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends this schedule for routine well-child exams:

  • 3 to 5 days old

  • 2 months old

  • 4 months old

  • 6 months old

  • 9 months old

  • 12 months old

  • 15 months old

  • 18 months old

  • 24 months old

  • 30 months old

  • 3 years old

  • 4 years old

And once every year thereafter for an overall health examination.

Please keep in mind that well child exams should be scheduled in advance, especially during the spring and summer months, when demand for these exams are high.
